As a writer and artist, I like to work with like-minded people. I specialise in designing books, curatorial information, reports and posters for artists, writers and arts organisations.
I support environmental and nature campaigns, so I also like to work with charities and organisations who are doing their best to ensure our environment is protected for the long-term.
I also work as a writing mentor, specialising in writing for young adults, fantasy and sci-fi.
my background
I studied art, design, and photography at the Arts Institute at Bournemouth. I have an MA in Writing for Young People from Bath Spa University.
In 2011 I started to design posters for my writing group, Storyslingers. It wasn’t long before I’d established a growing client base.
I joined my partner, Simon, as Creative Director of Mount Art Services in 2015, creating all in-house designs and marketing materials. I worked with external clients through Mount, including galleries, festivals, charities, artists and writers.
From 2019 we decided to focus Mount on framing and printing, and I transitioned my design work to my own name.
When I’m not designing books, I’m writing them and helping others with theirs too.
I’ve assisted writers at all stages of their careers, from those just starting out, to published authors. I gained experience of assisting new and intermediate writers whilst directing Storyslingers writing group, and since studying an MA in Writing for Young People I’ve assisted several professional authors.
